My Superhero Power

I’m pretty sure everyone has a superhero power. Everyone has one thing they do better than just about anyone, something they do so well that onlookers are positively amazed. Mine is loading the dishwasher.

Seriously, my mother in law loads the dishwasher and then she asks me to come in and finish it up, and I rearrange to include 3 more plates, 2 cups, and a mixing bowl. I pay attention to where the water comes from and I don’t crowd. I have low tolerance for breakable things touching each other due to the risk of chipping. I don’t like to hear rattling while the machine is running, so I space well. And yet I can get more dishes in the dishwasher than anyone I know.

I haven’t figured out how to make any money or save any lives with my power, but it is mine and I cherish it.

What’s yours?

I’m the same way with packing – whether it’s boxes or suitcases or a pantry. I can rearrange & fit more in there.

Of course, my husband isn’t always pleased with this, because he has to dig to find food in said pantry. But hey, limited space. What can you do? Can’t display it all so it’s visible.

    I have the ability to:

    A. Create outlines like nobody’s business

    B. Turn prose into an organized-looking symphony

    1. Symphony = Wonderfully harmonious notes

    2. Organized-looking = It may not BE organized

    C. Think in the old-fashioned paragraph style

    1. Tell ’em what you’re going to say

    2. Tell ’em

    3. Tell ’em what you told ’em

    Ta Da! :)
