    He was very matter of fact about it, like it was a totally normal thing to do! I guess we’re lucky he’s not in karate so he’s not whacking himself in the face?

    Megan it’s basically whatever makes it to the blog, and we do look back on old posts from time because we enjoy them.

    Kirsten, I read mom blogs before I had a kid and one of my favorite things was all of the kid quotes. So I’m just trying to do my part!

    Shirley, thanks so much for your concern! If he’d been using anything but his hands, yes, absolutely there would have been a significant talk. And to be more clear, the whole “test” lasted about five seconds.

    My oldest son took karate for several years and learned how to control his body. It was really good for him. He did learn how to choke someone who might attack him…
